Women Welding Fraternity Competition 2025 (WWFc-2025)

Fronius India, a pioneer in welding technology and skill development, is proud to announce the Women Welding Fraternity Competition 2025 (WWFc-2025). This initiative celebrates and promotes women’s contributions in the field of welding, encouraging their participation and empowerment in this traditionally male-dominated industry.

Objectives

Encourage more women to pursue careers in welding and allied technologies.

Promote skill excellence

Recognize and reward outstanding talent among women welders.

Strengthen academia-industry collaboration

Build strong partnerships with academic institutions to foster skill development.

Celebrate International Women’s Day

Announce the winners on 8th March 2025 to align with the global celebration of women’s achievements.

Key Highlights

Registration criteria

Open to female students from ITI, Diploma, Skill Institutions, Engineering Colleges, R&D Institutes as well as professionals from the manufacturing industry across India.

Academia: Participants will undergo SMAW and GMAW tests during the Zonal Level competition.
Industry: Participants will have a separate category with the following disciplines: Pipe Welder, Plate Welder, and GMAW/GTAW & SMAW processes.
No registration or participation fees

Selection process

Preliminary Round: Welding knowledge & skill (Theory & Practical) tests conducted at regional levels. (SMAW and/or GMAW - Manual Process)
Final Round: Live competition within the winner and runner up from the regional rounds at one location - C.V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar

Awards

Winners will be rewarded with:

Cash rewards: Finals will be Cash Rewards and Certificate
Medals and Certificate for the participants at National Level (Winner & Runner-Up)

How it works

Registration: Fill out the registration form below to participate before February 4th, 2025
Selection Rounds: Showcase your skills through regional and national rounds conducted at partner institutions on February 10-11, 2025
Finale: Finalists will compete in a grand finale, with winners announced on March 6-7, 2024.
